Our Story

Hi!

We are Dina and Esam , or as our little baby girl calls us mama and baba! We have been married since 2017. We like to describe ourselves as two nerdy engineers who love to work with their hands!. 

How did it all start?

Dina, encouraged by her family, decided to put herself out there and start Danadeesh design in 2014 to fulfil her love for creating, arabic calligraphy and everything authentic. When we met in 2015, Esam said he will “revolutionize” Dina’s business and oh he did!

Danadeesh combined Dina’s love for creating and colours with Esam tech genius skills and love for woodworking. We started with paint and brushes, and now we are up to 5 machines! Still running from our home in Ottawa and doing different things from wood to plastic and planning to expand to more materials soon!

Why Danadeesh? Danadeesh was the nickname Dina’s grandmother gave her as a child, and it also means “little cute things” in the Baghdad/Iraqi accent. When we think of our grandmothers, we think of authenticity, warmth, elegance, grace and peace and this is what we want our products to represent and how we like to deal with our customers.
